    Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) is accepting applications for Behavioral Health Technicians in Maricopa County.

     

    If you are looking for a job where you can truly make a difference each day, consider working as a Direct Support Specialist. This is a unique, entry-level position in the Behavioral Health world where you get to make an impact on the well-being of youth and young adults between the ages of 18-25 years old. Whether the young adult is acclimating to an unfamiliar environment, or is returning home after other treatment options, you will be at the front line of support for the young adult and their family. Providing direct support means tailoring your efforts toward the individual strengths and goals of the young adult involved. We work out in the homes and communities of those that we serve. Everything we do to help draws on the strengths, preferences, community resources and culture of the family.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct Support work requires afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend work. Flexibility in scheduling, willingness to drive to different cities, and willingness to work within the homes/communities of the families we work with is required.
    • Specialists are required to submit a negative substance abuse test and be able to obtain fingerprint and criminal history background clearance. CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention are required trainings that are provided by the agency.
    • Reliable transportation is required, including proof of insurance and an acceptable driving record.

    Qualifications

    • Must be 21 years or older.
    • High school diploma/GED with six weeks of related experience or a related Bachelor's degree. 

     

    Compensation:

    $12-13.50/hr
