  • Overview

    Child & Family Support Services is accepting applications for Direct Support Specialist for our Transiton Age Youth (TAY) program in Phoenix.

    This position focuses on supporting 17 year old and their families as they prepare to transition from the children’s system to the adult system of care. Establishing relationships and partnering with transition aged youth and families is integral to this position. 

    Responsibilities

    • Direct Support work requires afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend work. Flexibility in scheduling, willingness to drive to different cities, and willingness to work within the homes/communities of the families we work with is required.
    • Specialists are required to submit a negative substance abuse test and be able to obtain fingerprint and criminal history background clearance. CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention are required trainings that are provided by the agency.
    • Reliable transportation is required, including proof of insurance and an acceptable driving record.

    Qualifications

    • Must be 21 years or older.
    • High school diploma/GED with six weeks of related experience or a related Bachelor's degree.

     

     

    Compensation:

    $12-13.50/hr
